The city of Rodgau is calling on all citizens of the city, all associations and cultural initiatives to submit proposals for the Culture Prize 2025. The Culture Prize is awarded for an outstanding cultural achievement that has already been realised. It aims to recognise and promote individuals and groups who have made a special contribution to artistic and cultural life in the town of Rodgau. Award winners or achievements should be of significance beyond Rodgau and contribute to the cultural reputation of the town of Rodgau. Not only honorary achievements are honoured, but also the group of people who earn their living wholly or partly through cultural achievements, e.g. painters, writers, actors, photographers, musicians or visual artists. The prize can be awarded for overall achievements as well as for outstanding events (e.g. happenings, pageants, theatre, ballet or concert performances). The prize was created for individuals and groups resident in Rodgau, but non-residents are not excluded. However, the cultural achievement should have been performed in or for Rodgau. A jury decides on the awarding of the culture prize. The prize is divisible and is awarded alternately each year with the Cultural Promotion Prize. Both prizes are endowed with a sum of money totalling 2,500 euros. Proposals must be accompanied by a detailed written description of the proposed person/group, the achievement to be honoured and the impact on the cultural life of the town of Rodgau and, if applicable, by supporting material. The nomination must include the address or contact details of the nominee and the nominator. It is also helpful to provide additional information such as a CV, a history of the organisation, documentation of previous artistic or cultural achievements.
