Composting
Stadtwerke Rodgau operates a green waste composting plant for the disposal of green and garden waste, which is located outside Dudenhofen in Blumenau 1a and accepts private deliveries.

The most important questions at a glance:
Who is authorised to deliver?
- Rodgau citizens (owners and tenants) who pay waste disposal charges
- Authorisation certificates are issued annually for proper use, the originals of which must be presented without being asked upon delivery
What can be delivered?
- Branches and shrubs (delivered branches may have a maximum diameter of 8 cm and be 1 metre long)
- Garden waste: e.g. grass cuttings, moss, wild herbs, weeds, potted flowers, cut flowers and leaves
What may not be delivered?
- Food and food waste (kitchen waste)
- Demolition and construction waste
- Branches and trunks with a diameter of more than 8 cm and a length of 1 m
- Root balls with soil adhesions and roots in general
- Earth
- Sand
- Swards
- Small animal bedding (not even in the form of straw)
- Other foreign materials (e.g. flower signs, flower pots, wires, wood, etc.).
Deliveries with visible foreign matter are not permitted and will be rejected!
When can deliveries be made? (Opening hours)
From 15 February to 31 October 2025
- Monday & Friday from 2 to 6 pm
- Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm
From 1 November to 15 December 2025
- Monday & Friday from 2 to 4 pm
- Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm
The composting plant is closed outside of these times.
Opening hours may vary on bridge days or working days before or after public holidays. Current information can be found under Current.How much can be delivered?
A maximum quantity of one car boot or single-axle trailer without bodywork may be delivered per delivery day.
Can finished compost be taken away?
- Rodgau residents can collect finished compost (maximum 200 litres per household per day) free of charge from the composting plant
- Please bring an appropriate container, as the goods are loose
Test certificate
An independently issued certificate confirms that the finished compost from the composting plant is suitable or certified for Bioland/Naturland.
