At the suggestion of the public, Stadtwerke Rodgau has set up a farewell room at the forest cemetery in Jügesheim. There, relatives have the opportunity to bid farewell to the deceased individually and in an appropriate time before the funeral service. The room is also suitable for small funeral services with up to 20 mourners.

In the background is a stone wall with a cross, in front of which is a trolley on which a coffin can be laid out.

Tree burial ground

At the Jügesheim forest cemetery, Stadtwerke Rodgau has set up a small place of worship on the tree burial ground in the northern part of the cemetery. The aim is to give the bereaved the opportunity to bid farewell to the deceased during a memorial service. This central place of remembrance and commemoration is equipped with seating and is therefore well suited for older people or smaller mourning parties.

The view is directed towards a lawn. On the left is a stele made of rusted steel, on the right a bench. Pine trees can be seen in the background.

The organisation of the funeral ceremony is largely left to the wishes of the deceased and their relatives. The organisation can be carried out by a clergyman, a funeral orator or even by the relatives and friends.

Of course, the funeral service can take place in the funeral parlour beforehand if the relatives so wish, after which the burial takes place at the chosen tree.
