Heimat X - Rodgau cultural history in the Rodgau Gallery

The impressive exhibition "Heimat X" can be seen until 25 August at the Rodgau-Galerie, Nieuwpoorter Staße 90 in Dudenhofen. The exhibition is open on Wednesdays from 6 pm to 9 pm and on Sundays from 2 pm to 6 pm. Admission is free. The presentation of the Rodgau town archives, which has been very well attended so far, is a journey through the cultural history of Rodgau up to the present day. Photos and motif maps show the changes in the communities. The tradition of the village lime trees and the significance of the gallows oaks are explained. The development of the Kirchweih into the Kerb and the roots of the sports clubs are discussed. The repression and liberation in the Rollwald Nazi camp are described. Heimat X is an impulse to deal with formative cultural and historical developments. This not only allows us to look back, but is also always an impulse for understanding the present and shaping the future.
