The gardening club at Kita 18 "Abenteuerland" can finally start next spring. The Friends of the Kita 18 day-care centre were actively involved in ensuring that the children received raised beds built by the company GALA-Service Zinecker. They also received seed trays and the first vegetable seeds. Financed by ING Germany, the project was quickly realised. In the coming autumn and winter, the teachers will work with the children from the gardening group to develop a concept for how the raised beds should be used and planted. Many ideas from the Fröbel pedagogy will be incorporated. These beds become a place for looking, observing and recognising, a place for physical activity and for creating one's own ideas.
