The open youth work team has once again come up with a varied programme for 2025. During the Easter, summer and autumn holidays, the municipal holiday games will take place for children from the 1st grade up to the age of 12. A total of 460 places, 80 of which are available in the Easter and autumn holidays, are waiting for children aged 1 to 12. During the Easter holidays, skiers and snowboarders can discover the pistes in the snow-sure "Wildkogelarena" ski area high above Neukirchen am Großvenediger for 9 days with the popular SnowCamp. During the Christmas and Easter holidays, there are various offers and excursions for interested children and young people aged 9 and over. Activities such as ice skating or laser tag in the Christmas holidays and a visit to Experiminta in Frankfurt, a table football tournament or a 3-day graffiti workshop in the Easter holidays are just some of the interesting items on the programme. From January 2025, the team in the youth facilities will be strengthened by two new colleagues who are looking forward not only to the holiday games and excursions, but also to the regular activities with the young people. Cooking is organised weekly at the Dudenhofen youth centre and the Jügesheim youth centre, twice a month there are sports activities at the midnight sports in Nieder-Roden and young people have the opportunity to get their bikes in shape at the bicycle workshop in cooperation with ADFC Rodgau. They also kick a ball around together once a month in the indoor soccer centre. A special cinema evening is on the programme for young people aged 14 and over in February. We decide together which film will be shown that evening. The individual offers from January to June 2024 with detailed information can be found in the newly designed programme booklet. The programme booklet has already been published digitally on the homepage. The printed booklets are distributed in schools by the school social work department. They are also available at youth centres, the town hall and libraries. Registration for the offers can be made from 2 December at 10 a.m. on the Rodgau city website at www.rodgau.de/Ferien. In order to also offer a varied programme for the summer, the youth work of the town of Rodgau cooperates with communities from the Offenbach district for individual offers. The youth centres are happy to receive requests and ideas, and clubs can also contact them for cooperation. The programme for the second half of 2025 is expected to be published in June. We are still looking for freelancers for holiday play supervision. Those interested must be at least 18 years old, have time during the holidays and enjoy working with children. Applications can be submitted via the Rodgau city website.
