There could hardly be a more atmospheric start to the Advent season. This year's "Cemetery Concert" was entitled "With Gold and Strings" and the main performers were all from the Freie Musikschule Rodgau e.V. music school. The talented pupils played guitar, violin, saxophone and sang. Musically, they travelled through different countries, genres and eras. Impressed by the young people's skills and their courage to put themselves in the spotlight, the enthusiastic audience did not spare their applause. The concert was opened by Markus Ebel-Waldmann, Operations Manager of Stadtwerke Rodgau, and Councillor for Culture Winno Sahm. Stadtwerke Rodgau and the municipal agency for culture, sport and voluntary work have been organising the concert together for 10 years. After the concert, the hosts invited guests to coffee and cake. There is no admission charge for attending the concert, but donations are collected for a charitable organisation. This year, the organisation "Frauen helfen Frauen - Kreis Offenbach e.V." was delighted to receive 709.60 euros.
