Tilly fundraising campaign at the Advent market in Jügesheim

At this year's Advent market in Jügesheim, the Tilly fundraising campaign organised by the municipal cleaning staff was presented to the public for the first time. With coffee, tea and homemade cakes, the municipal cleaning staff organised a café in the town hall foyer on Saturdays and Sundays under the patronage of First City Councillor Janika Martin. Home-made Christmas decorations and mistletoe branches were also offered for sale. As last year, the proceeds will go to the Offenbach district's children's and youth hospice support service, organised by Malteser International. The enthusiasm of the cleaning staff was so great that the decision has already been made to organise the "Tilly Café" again next year as part of the Advent market. The Tilly campaign started in January 2023 and the task for the cleaning staff was to find something that unites them and strengthens the team spirit. Each cleaner puts an amount of their own choosing into the Tilly donation box every month. In addition, "Tilly" travels through the individual cleaning districts. The year 2023 brought in donation proceeds of 1000 euros. The amount was presented to the Malteser organisation at a ceremony. In 2024, the cleaning staff from daycare centres 5, 10, 11, 15 and 18 joined the campaign. "Tilly" stopped by here too. It is worth noting that the municipal daycare centre 7, which is cleaned by a service company, invited Tilly to its summer party. This year's proceeds will be announced in January and presented in the presence of First City Councillor Janika Martin. Tilly will then enter its third year in 2025. The campaign is set to continue to grow and remain an integral part of the city's cleaning services.
