The first participation phase for the Rodgau West I development plan procedure, the early participation of the public in accordance with Section 3 (1) BauGB and the early participation of the authorities and other public agencies in accordance with Section 4 (1) BauGB, is now underway. Citizens can comment on the current status of the planning, the preliminary draft of the development plan, in several ways between 26 February and 29 March. There are various options during the early participation period. It is possible online in writing via the participation platform he.bauleitplanung-online.de or by e-mail at the e-mail address planung@rodgau.de. There is also the option of submitting written or verbal comments at the town hall in Hintergasse 15, 1st floor, room 1.8, or at the public information event. The citizens' information event will take place on 7 March from 7 p.m. in the city council meeting room of the town hall. At this event, interested citizens can also find out about the general aims and objectives of the planning, the expected effects and the contents of the preliminary draft of the development plan, ask questions and make suggestions. As part of the public, children and young people are also invited to take part in the consultation and make their suggestions. Once the early participation period has ended, the suggestions made will be analysed. On the basis of this evaluation, a draft of the development plan is prepared, which is then published in the second participation phase. It is not yet possible to set a date for the public consultation in accordance with Sections 3 (2) and 4 (2) BauGB. Following intensive consultations on the future development of the city, the city council of Rodgau organised a Germany-wide competition in 2016 to develop the largest construction area in the history of the city of Rodgau. The winner of the competition, the planning office prosa Architektur und Stadtplanung mbH from Darmstadt, developed the framework plans 1 and 2 following the competition in close cooperation with Rodgau's politicians and administration. The first development plan is now being developed on the basis of these plans. The creation of the first development plan, Rodgau No. 7 "Rodgau West I", was approved by the city council on 13 December 2021.
