The current exhibition in the Rodgau Gallery at Nieuwpoorter Str. 90 is like a "museum shop". A guided tour of Klaus Böhmer's extensive and varied work will be offered by Head of Cultural Affairs Winno Sahm on 18 February at 2 pm. The 69-year-old Böhmer reinterprets found materials very creatively and transforms them into surprisingly different objects. The former Städel graduate in painting and art theory shows a great deal of humour and a certain mischievousness. This can be clearly seen in the dogs made from scrap wood, which are tied to the radiator with a yellow leash and sit in their proper place. This and more not only makes the viewer smile. You almost want to take the dog and go for a walk with him. Detailed descriptions of all the sometimes very amusing and thoroughly ironic works on the guided tour on 18 February. There will be another guided tour on 13 March at 6 pm. The Rodgau Gallery is open on Wednesdays from 6 pm to 9 pm and Sundays from 2 pm to 6 pm. The current exhibition runs until 20 March and is also suitable for a discovery tour with children due to the entertaining objects. Admission is free.
