The composting plant opens its doors on 16 February at 2 pm and welcomes the citizens of Rodgau once again this year with a spring greeting. Small, colourful primroses await the first visitors who find their way to Blumenau 1a in Dudenhofen. After the end of the winter break, Rodgau residents can once again deliver green waste, grass cuttings, leaves and prunings (max. 8cm diameter & 1m length) in normal household quantities free of charge to the composting facility of Stadtwerke Rodgau. The free collection of finished compost in normal household quantities will also be offered this year. The free use of the composting plant is reserved exclusively for the citizens of Rodgau. They finance the disposal and utilisation of their green waste through their waste disposal fees. In order to exclude external suppliers, an authorisation form is once again enclosed with this year's waste guide. Stadtwerke asks that the completed authorisation form be placed behind the windscreen of the vehicle to make it easier for employees at the composting plant to check incoming waste. Businesses can deliver their green waste for a fee. A fee of 15 euros gross is charged for each cubic metre of waste delivered. It is also possible for tradespeople to deliver finished compost for 22.50 euros gross per cubic metre. The composting facility is available to Rodgau residents three days a week from February to December. The opening hours in the spring and summer months from 15 February to 31 October are Mondays and Fridays from 2 pm to 6 pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 4 pm. In the autumn and winter months, the composting facility is open from 1 November to 15 December on Mondays and Fridays from 2 pm to 4 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm.
