The Rodgau senior citizens' cinema will be showing the film drama with Ingrid Bergmann and Humphrey Bogart on Friday, 1 March at 3 pm. Casablanca, at the time of the Second World War: American Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) runs a busy bar. New refugees from Europe keep turning up on their way to America. Among them is the resistance fighter Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid), who has fled from the Nazis and is accompanied by his wife Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman). She is Rick's former lover. The otherwise cool bar owner is hit at his weakest point by the reunion, as Ilsa had once transferred him to Paris, forcing him to leave the city without her when the Nazis arrived. Rick is now faced with the question of whether he should get Victor and his still beloved Ilsa the coveted exit visas and possibly put himself in danger, or whether he should leave them stranded in Casablanca.
