Senior cinema shows "Notting Hill"

The Rodgau Senior Cinema will be showing the romantic comedy film starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant on Friday, 2 February at 3 pm. William Thacker (Hugh Grant) lives a rather tranquil life as the manager of a small bookshop in London's Notting Hill neighbourhood. But suddenly the peace and quiet changes when one day Hollywood star Anna Scott (Julia Roberts) turns up in his shop and a short time later he has an unfortunate encounter with her, spilling orange juice down her blouse. Out of politeness, he invites Anna into his house, where she immediately meets Spike (sensational: Rhys Ifans), William's extremely bizarre flatmate. Anna is fascinated by William and his "simple" life. She begins a tender romance with him, in the course of which the film star even accompanies William to his sister's birthday party, where she also meets the rest of his equally lovable and crazy family. The Rodgau senior cinema takes place in the Kronen Lichtspiele, Hochstädter Str. 11-13, 63110 Rodgau. Admission costs €7. The cinema on Hochstädter Straße is air-conditioned, but unfortunately not barrier-free. The stairs must be negotiated independently. The cinema can be easily reached from all parts of the city with the city bus line OF 40. The bus stop "Hochstädter Straße" is located directly in front of the cinema. Interested younger people are also very welcome. For more information, please contact the municipal senior citizens' advice centre, Ms Taffet, on 06106 693- 1233.
