The building material from the construction site around Ludwig-Erhard-Platz and the community centre in Dudenhofen is processed in a doubly environmentally friendly way. As required by law since 1 August 2023 in the Mantelverordnung and Ersatzbaustoffverordnung, the Fichter company recycles materials found on site, such as excavated earth, on behalf of the town wherever possible. This applies to the entire construction project. To this end, the material is temporarily stored and processed on the municipal site, which was formerly used by the Haufler tree nursery. The aim is to reuse the building materials as far as possible instead of removing and disposing of them. The short distances between the construction site and the temporary storage area will also reduce the CO2 emissions that would otherwise be caused by long transport routes. In view of the aforementioned advantages and requirements, the city apologises for any noise that may be generated. As soon as the construction work has been completed, the Fichter company will restore the site to its original condition.
