Rodgau once again successfully took part in this year's CITY CYCLING campaign and cycled a total of 159,837 kilometres. Although this is fewer kilometres than last year, "due to the wet weather, it is a very respectable achievement", said Mayor Max Breitenbach at the closing event. However, it is not only the sporting performance that counts in the campaign, but also the amount of CO2 saved: a total of 27,000 kilograms of CO2 were saved. Of course, a few statistics should not be missing: A total of 43 teams with 960 cyclists took part in the campaign. Sven Hansen achieved the most kilometres as an individual cyclist with 1,777.9 km. The Carl Orff School cycled the most team kilometres with 29,414 km. All figures, data and facts can be looked up at https://www.stadtradeln.de/rodgau. This year, families, companies, associations, daycare centres and schools, political parties, administration and representatives from the healthcare sector took part again. And for all those who want to do it again or for the first time: The next CITY CYCLING campaign starts in Rodgau on 18 May 2025.
