The holidays are starting soon and many people have already planned their holiday. Travellers or last-minute bookers sometimes only discover shortly before the start of their trip or at the airport that their identity card or passport is no longer valid. Until the end of last year, children's passports could still be printed directly at the Citizens' Service Centre and taken away immediately. Due to the nationwide abolition of children's passports, ID cards or passports must also be applied for for children. Parents should therefore keep an eye on the validity of the documents when travelling abroad to prevent any inconvenience or, in the worst case, having to cancel a trip. It can take up to four weeks to receive the new document once the application has been submitted. Further information can be found on the Internet at www.rodgau.de.
