The measures against pavement parking in Rodgau will enter the next round from 18 March. Büchnerstraße in Nieder-Roden and Egerstraße and Weiskircher Straße in Jügesheim will be affected. In the residential areas (area-wide 30 km/h zones) in Rodgau, the only streets still missing will be those around the major construction site in Schillerstraße. The regulatory authorities will take action here once the construction site has been completed. Residents and road users will be notified in the usual way before parking offences are penalised after around three weeks. At the same time, the campaign is now also being practised in the commercial and industrial areas. The public order authority is starting in Jügesheim, Dudenhofen and Nieder-Roden. Letters to residents will be omitted, so that in commercial and industrial areas, red notices will be placed directly on vehicles to draw attention to the future warnings. The processing of the individual streets will be staggered so that the public order police can also fulfil their other duties. In the streets where the campaign has already been carried out, parking on the pavement will continue to be cautioned. The warning fine of 55 euros is based on a nationwide increase in charges by the Federal Ministry of Transport (since November 2021). This is intended to emphasise the importance of non-motorised traffic on pavements, which is particularly worthy of protection.
