Public utilities ask you to avoid overfilled bins

The customer service department of the municipal utilities and the waste disposal management department have recently received an increasing number of reports from citizens that waste bins, in particular residual waste bins and residual waste containers, are being left standing and not emptied due to sometimes very heavy overfilling. The reason for this behaviour on the part of the waste disposal company is that only the disposal costs for the waste in the bin are paid for. The Rodgau waste statutes have set a corresponding fee for each size of residual waste bin. Section 8 (2) also clearly states that the waste bins must not be overfilled so that no excess volume is disposed of. Waste Management therefore requests that waste bins are only provided for emptying if they are filled to the extent that the lids can be closed properly, so that bin users are not left with full bins until the next emptying. The waste disposal management team is currently working on the creation of stickers to indicate when bins are full or overfilled. In general, it is possible to order additional or larger residual waste bins if the current residual waste bin is not sufficient. The order must be placed with Stadtwerke Rodgau via the owner. However, household waste bags can also be used for the disposal of only temporary excess quantities of residual waste. These are available for 8 euros at the points of sale listed in the waste guide.
