SingLiesel publishing house donates media package to the public library

The Rodgau public library is delighted to have received a generous media donation and would like to thank the publisher SingLiesel from Karlsruhe. The SingLiesel publishing house is known for its very special publishing programme "Living well in old age". The focus is on older people and their needs, people with several decades of life experience, with and without dementia. Experiences and songs connect this generation, so the books and games revive memories and prevent them from being forgotten. The media on offer also include books and games for carers, relatives and people working in social care for senior citizens and people with dementia. There was great joy in the public library when the carefully compiled media package was unpacked. It contained books with short stories and poems to read aloud, suggestions for activities and handicrafts throughout the year, as well as fitness guides for senior citizens with exercises that can be done while seated. A memory game with large cards featuring well-known pop stars, a puzzle and 2 quiz games complete the selection and demonstrate the variety of media offered by SingLiesel-Verlag. The staff had a lot of fun testing the "old terms" guessing box, as not everyone knew what a "monkey swing" is, what an "ointment dispenser" is or whether you can actually kill someone with a "patricide". The SingLiesel publishing house has done a marvellous job of supporting the public library and expanding its range with this donation. All media can be borrowed immediately and make an important contribution to supporting relatives, carers and caregivers in their not always easy everyday lives.
