Adventure scavenger hunt for children in the public libraries

To celebrate UNESCO World Book Day on 23 April, the Nieder-Roden and Jügesheim public libraries are inviting all young readers to take part in an adventure scavenger hunt. During opening hours from 22 to 25 April, they can solve puzzles at various stations and win a book prize. "Ich schenk dir eine Geschichte" is a joint campaign by the book trade, Stiftung Lesen, Stiftung Buchkultur and the Börsenverein's reading promotion programme, Deutsche Post and DHL, cbj Verlag and ZDF. The aim of the initiative is to inspire children to read every year with stories that appeal to their interests. Author Thomas Winkler and illustrator Timo Grubing developed the comic novel "Cool as Bolle" to ensure that the campaign also works in classes with different reading levels. In the novel, twins Bodo and Lea are eagerly awaiting an invitation to the best pool party ever. But the invitation just won't materialise. For Bodo, there is only one explanation: he and his sister are not cool enough. Bodo's only hope is a self-developed programme that will gradually turn Lea and him into the coolest siblings in the whole school within a week. Will they succeed?
