Little quail chicks "go to daycare"

The children at the municipal daycare centre 18 "Abenteuerland" are experiencing a very special adventure. Since 28 March, they have been able to observe how several quail eggs have developed in the incubator. Every day, a poster showed what stage of development the egg was at. With the help of a torch, the children were even able to see the difference between a fertilised and an unfertilised egg. For 17 days, the children kept checking to see if anything was moving in the incubator. And then, finally, the little quails hatched. Now 13 little chicks live in the daycare centre and are watched, fed and cleaned by the children and their parents. When they are bigger, they will be allowed to live temporarily in an enclosure in the daycare centre garden.
