Creative workshops in the Nieder-Roden public library

Craft enthusiasts can get creative at two workshops in the Nieder-Roden public library. On Tuesday, 29 April at 6 pm, sweet works of art that never go to waste will be created under the motto "Mini cakes & food art made from foam clay". Detailed mini cakes, cupcakes and other treats will be created from foam clay, a soft, air-drying modelling clay. Richly decorated, the works of art are perfect as magnets, miniature decorations or gifts. The sweet treats are modelled using simple techniques and decorated with delicate icing, fruit and other decorative elements. Another creative break is scheduled for Thursday, 8 May at 6 p.m. with "Paper-Petals" - paper flower magic. Flowers say more than a thousand words - especially when they are homemade. On this evening, delicate tulips will be made from crepe paper and arranged into beautiful mini bouquets. Just in time for Mother's Day, you can create a loving gift or a bouquet to brighten up your own home. No previous experience is required, as instructor Svetlana Olenik will show you step by step how to shape the flowers and lovingly wrap them into a bouquet at the end. There are various papers, colours and ribbons to choose from - so every bouquet is unique. The cost of participating in a workshop is 10 euros, including all materials, drinks and snacks. The courses are suitable for adults and children aged 13 and over. As places are limited, registration is requested. Registration can be made in person, by email at buecherei@rodgau.de or by telephone on 06106 693-1322.
