Rodgau Gallery: Verónica Aguilera with "Corpus"

Installation artist Verónica Aguilera, who is of Spanish origin and lives in the Taunus region, is coming to the Rodgau Gallery with "Corpus". Her works can be seen at Nieuwpoorter Straße 90 from 30 April to 25 June. In her installations, Aguilera reflects on the banalities of everyday life and the relationship between the body, objects and physical space. She presents tongues, navels or perforated lungs moulded in clay. By reducing them to the essentials and making a rigorous choice of form and material, the artist attempts to depersonalise these objects. By "fossilising" them. This leads to an altered perception and constant re-evaluation of the everyday. With her installations, Barcelona-born Aguilera challenges us to scrutinise the material world that surrounds us. This is an exciting artist who deals with the body in an unusual way and also shows its increasing exhaustion in everyday life. Winno Sahm will welcome guests to the opening with drinks on 30 April and introduce the exhibition. Verónica Aguilera will be present and is looking forward to a lively dialogue. Admission is free. The gallery will then be open on Wednesdays from 6 pm to 9 pm and Sundays from 2 pm to 6 pm. At the final opening on 25 June, the musician Francisco Cabodevila, also of Spanish origin, will be playing from 6 pm. Information at kultur@rodgau.de.
