The team at Rodgau lido is looking forward to the start of the new season on Saturday, 3 May, and has put together a varied programme for young and old. Traditionally, the day starts at 11 a.m. with the DLRG participants being honoured for their outstanding achievements. Afterwards, some brave members of the DLRG give the official starting signal for the swimming season by jumping into the still cool water. The DLRG also offers an exciting boat trip across the lake. A highlight of the opening day is magician Abraxas, who will enchant visitors with his tricks. In addition, the German runner-up in freestyle football, Kjell Strauss, will be performing some of his impressive tricks on stage. The children of the RCC and the TG Nieder-Roden children's guard will entertain with their dances and the band "2so Typen" will provide music. At the craft stand of the Dudenhofen youth centre, young guests can spray paint gym bags, have their faces painted throughout the day or listen to exciting stories in the "book island". Anyone who has always wanted to walk on water can do so at the beach pool opening with free stand-up paddling and water-walk balls. A bouncy castle and an inflatable water slide are available for exuberant frolicking. Culinary delights are on offer at the kiosk and Hollis Pizza. Various flavours of ice cream await visitors at the "Ciao Ciao" ice cream van, while the "Weinomat" boys offer delicious wines for the adults. The Aiolos Rodgau kite club will also be on site. From 6 p.m., the opening will be moved to the "Terrace", where DJ Alex Stadler and soul singer Sofia Mapapa from Rodgau will ensure a good atmosphere and also herald the start of the "House am See" series. As in previous years, admission tickets, whether as day or season tickets, are available online at Strandbad Rodgau. In addition, swimming buoys can be borrowed free of charge again this year. The popular "After Work Music" and "House am See" events will also take place again, with the first After Work Music event taking place on 25 June. The lido team is looking forward to welcoming many guests on the opening day and, of course, throughout the season.
