Baby and toddler sleep - two-part event

Lack of sleep is stressful. Falling asleep is a sensitive situation for many children. They are tired, want to cuddle and rest. But many impressions of the day still need to be processed and can cause restlessness when falling asleep. The Family Centre is offering a two-part event on this topic. In the first part on Wednesday, 22 January, Severine Lotz, sleep consultant, explains the "1x1 of baby sleep". She will look at children's natural sleep and how falling asleep and sleeping through the night can work. The programme also includes night-time interruptions such as breastfeeding or bottle feeding and how this process can be made more relaxed for everyone. Severine Lotz will also talk about how sleep develops and what nightmares and night terrors actually are. The second part of the event, which will take place on Wednesday 29 January from 5 to 7 p.m., will focus on the topic of "sleeping habits". It will discuss how rituals at home can be changed so that it becomes a pleasant experience for both sides again. The aim is not to implement sleep training, but to understand what the children need individually and to respond to their needs accordingly. Both events belong together in terms of content and attendance is free of charge. They take place at the Family Centre, Alter Weg 63F, from 5 to 7 pm and registration is required by 17 January by telephone on 06106 693-1167, by email via familienzentrum@rodgau.de or via the online registration on the website.
