The Rodgau public library is taking its Kamishibai theatre outdoors. On 25 July and 8 August from 3:30 p.m., young and old story lovers from the age of 2 can experience the Japanese storytelling theatre Kamishibai on Puiseauxplatz in Nieder-Roden. Kamishibai means "paper theatre" and is a traditional Japanese art of storytelling. Colourful picture cards are presented in a small wooden theatre while the storyteller tells the story in a lively manner. The audience can look directly at the pictures and immerse themselves even more deeply in the story. It is a unique combination of visual art and oral storytelling that has fascinated children and adults alike for centuries. Kamishibai storytelling theatre stimulates the imagination and creativity of the listener and promotes children's language development. Above all, the Kamishibai is a lot of fun and a great way to spend time together, laugh and discover new worlds. The event is free of charge and attendance is possible without registration.
