With the "SMART LIGHTING" project, the city of Rodgau is implementing a project for the first time that takes into account the lighting stock across technologies and generations and harmonises modernisation and digitalisation. The subsidised project also involves scientific support, which initially evaluates the current status. The focus here is on the luminaire setting. In order for the university to be able to make a recommendation for action, a second light measurement is required on site. This will take place along the road sections Ludwigstraße 24 - 40 and Hauptstraße 106 - 126 with full road closures. The aim is to achieve an optimised luminaire setting in addition to road safety. The focus is also on the unfortunately increasing light pollution in urban areas and potential energy savings. The light measurement will take place during the night from 13 to 14 March between midnight and 4 am.
