The Rodgau public library is once again asking for the most beautiful sunflower this year. The 2nd sunflower competition for children is being organised there. The aim is for children to sow sunflowers, nurture and care for them throughout the summer, watch them grow and learn a lot along the way. The sunflower seeds can be collected free of charge from the Nieder-Roden and Jügesheim libraries during opening hours from 31 March to 4 April - while stocks last. The deadline for determining the height of the sunflower is 31 August. If you would like to take part, send a photo of the sunflower with a recognisable folding rule to buecherei@rodgau.de. The children with the 5 tallest sunflowers will each receive a book voucher. Questions about the competition can also be sent by e-mail or by calling the library on 693-1322.
