Tongue, breasts, navel - art and body

During a guided tour on 14 May at 6 pm in the Rodgau Gallery, Nieuwpoorter Straße 90, Head of Cultural Affairs Winno Sahm will delve deeper into the topic of the body and art. Since 30 April, the exhibition "Corpus" by artist Verónica Aguilera has been showing ceramic body parts that she has created in series and presented in a special way. Under the title: "Tongue, breasts, navel - art and body", Winno Sahm explains the meaning of the body in art, but also what the body and its parts stand for. The navel of the world or speaking with a forked tongue are examples that will be discussed and encourage dialogue. The artist, who is of Spanish origin, deals with the body in an unusual way, depicting its individuality and naturalness, but in the presentation she also refers to its utilisation, excessive demands and transience. An exciting topic that everyone can identify with. The exhibition is open until 25 June on Wednesdays from 6 to 9 pm and Sundays from 2 to 6 pm. Admission is free.
