Early in the morning at the reality counter: Good morning, one utopia to go, please! Yes, utopia without everything. Without false hopes, at least, because Stefanie Kerker doesn't believe in that. She looks far too closely for that, knows too well what's going on in this country. Music cabaret artist Stefanie Kerker can be seen on Thursday, 30 October at 8 pm on the Nieder-Röder Bürgerhaus stage. She can tell you a thing or two about what moves people from the inside out - or what they like to mentally organise so that they don't have to do anything. Occasionally, she uses a chatty tone of voice to lead people up the garden path and sells futuristic technology such as an app that gives everyone a label in a matter of seconds - so you can keep track of everything and save space for the analogue drawer cabinet. Or a device that allows you to tap into the energy generated by shaking your head at the state of the world and feed it into your home heating system. With a beaming smile, Stefanie Kerker takes aim at collective weaknesses as well as individual ones. Digital believers are hit just as hard as the followers of conspiracy myths, with the occasional planetary joke thrown in for good measure. Criticism is good, going beyond it is better. The audience takes a lot of positive energy and everyday encouragement from this humorous take-away. With these, they should - utopia times thumb - make good progress towards a "beautiful life for all". Tickets are available in advance from 17 euros at the Department of Culture, Sport and Volunteering in the Alte Apotheke, Schwesternstraße 10, as well as online at www.frankfurtticket.de. Remaining tickets can be purchased at the box office from 7 pm.
