TREES" theatre series with "Under Trees"
As part of the "TREES" theatre series, the latest open-air production by antagon theaterAKTion, protagon international performing Art and BUND Hessen will make a stop in Rodgau on 17 September. The play "Unter Bäumen" will be performed on Puiseauxplatz from 8 pm. Admission is free. The European project "TREES - Raising Environmental Awareness Through Performing Arts" aims to strengthen environmental awareness through artistic work.
What's it all about?
The theatre piece itself sheds light on the life of trees as silent contemporary witnesses and focuses on their existence, which is threatened by climate change. In a mixture of physical theatre, dance and live music, the ensemble approaches the sensitive forest ecosystem. A preliminary discussion with Guido Carl, deputy state chairman of BUND Hessen, will take place at 7 pm. He will share knowledge about the forest and clarify questions such as the difference between forest and woodland or the importance of mushroom cultures for tree communication. The audience is invited to delve deeper into the topic and learn new facts about the forest. The performance will also take place in light rain.
