More space to play, run around and discover: The outdoor area at daycare centre 14 in Dudenhofen has been successfully extended! From now on, the children have a larger area to develop freely. As the number of children in the centre has increased in recent years, the space was gradually becoming too small. In order to give the children the space they need, the outdoor area has been extended by 60 square metres. Where cars used to be parked, a green oasis has now been created. The redesign has added new, exciting elements to the outdoor area, such as a fresh lawn where there was previously a gravel car park. A construction trailer playhouse invites children to role-play and hide-and-seek. The new maple tree will provide shade on hot days and the covered seating area provides space for breaks, small picnics or story time outdoors. Special thanks go to the Rodgau 16Plus project. The team led by master carpenter Andre Thieme lovingly built the covered seating area by hand and contributed their own creative ideas. The total cost of the extension is around 58,000 euros - an important and sustainable investment in the development of our youngest children. The new area is currently still dormant so that the freshly sown lawn can grow without disturbance. The greatest joy, however, is the prospect of the children being able to conquer the new adventure areas - and look forward to many new play opportunities.
