Ilona Sztycharz celebrates 40 years of service

The city of Rodgau honours Ilona Sztycharz for her 40th anniversary of service. The deputy manager of Kita 11 is being honoured for her many years of commitment and valuable work in childcare. Ilona Sztycharz began her professional career after training as a child carer and attending a technical college for social pedagogy. In 1986, she joined the city of Rodgau as a childcare worker at the Rollwald daycare centre. From 1987 to 2000, she worked at the Jügesheim daycare centre and then moved to the "Kita am Bürgerhaus" daycare centre until 2017. Since 2017, she has worked as deputy manager at daycare centre 11. The mayor, staff council and colleagues paid tribute to Ilona Sztycharz's commitment. Mayor Max Breitenbach thanked her in particular for her "service to people". Her calmness in discussions with parents and her power, from which her colleagues from Kita 11 can learn, were particularly emphasised. She is also an active member of the staff council and has been involved in the family centre in Jügesheim from the very beginning. Janika Martin, the First City Councillor, shared a personal anecdote: while leafing through old photos of her daughter, she discovered a picture of Ilona Sztycharz singing with children in the gymnasium. This photo reminds Janika Martin of the lasting and positive impact of Sztycharz's work. Ilona Sztycharz herself looks back on her 40 years of service and describes them as very entertaining. One highlight of her career was setting up the crèche for children under the age of three, for which she received special training from the town of Rodgau. In conclusion, she emphasised that Rodgau has become a piece of home for her and that she plans to get involved with the senior citizens after her retirement.
