This year's summer reading project Buchdurst organised by the town of Rodgau has come to a brilliant end. With 186 children and young people taking part and 1826 books borrowed, new records were set this year. The closing ceremony, which is the highlight of the event, will take place on 20 September at 2 pm in the Bürgerhaus Nieder-Roden due to the large number of participants. First City Councillor Janika Martin will present the awards and announce the winners of the project. The young bookworms can also look forward to a special highlight: an interactive reading with the well-known author and illustrator Michael Mantel. The Jügesheimer Bücherstube will be offering his books for sale on site and the author will be available for signings. In addition, all participants can look forward to a small surprise.
