The winners of this year's sunflower competition organised by Rodgau town library have been announced. Around 100 sachets of sunflower seeds were distributed in spring. Over the summer months, the seeds have grown into stately plants, cared for and nurtured by the participating children and their families. By the closing date at the end of August, 34 families had responded with beautiful photos of their sunflowers. Five of them can now look forward to receiving a certificate and a book voucher. The tallest sunflower measures a proud 3.83 metres and delights its owners with a radiant blossom.
