The Rodgau Open Industry Festival (ROIF) returns for its third edition on 19 and 20 September. Initiated by local companies and organised in cooperation with the city of Rodgau, the city will once again be transformed into a platform for promoting young talent, recruiting skilled workers and presenting itself as an employer. ROIF is deliberately designed as a recruiting event in the style of a festival to set it apart from traditional careers fairs. In a relaxed festival atmosphere, school pupils, career starters, skilled workers and families meet 21 regional companies. Music acts, culinary offerings, hands-on activities and information stands make for a unique experience. Rodgau's Mayor Max Breitenbach and Markus Weinbrenner, Managing Director of the Offenbach Chamber of Industry and Commerce, are also expected to attend the official opening on Friday at 6 pm. The aim of the festival is to bring companies and potential applicants into contact in an uncomplicated and authentic way. On Friday morning, the focus will be on career guidance for school classes. At this school event, which takes place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., 27 classes and therefore around 600 pupils are expected. They will visit the companies that are open for tours in small groups by shuttle bus or on foot, or they will be guided through the event area where they will meet the exhibitors. A human soccer tournament will also be running in parallel. On both days, the Rodgau Open Industry Festival for the general public starts at 2 p.m. and is aimed at school pupils, young adults, career changers and skilled workers. The format enables discussions without inhibitions and far away from stiff job interviews. Companies can present themselves as modern, innovative and locally committed employers and thus strengthen their employer branding. The success of the concept is confirmed by the participating companies. Kalle Max Zerbisch, Head of Internal Sales at the Buderus Germany branch in Frankfurt, emphasises the positive experiences: "The festival is an all-round successful event that offers real added value to everyone involved - from young people to companies." He reports that one pupil who found out about the company at the event successfully applied for a job the following year. The RP Group, co-initiator of the ROIF, can also look back on concrete successes: "The ROIF brings people and companies together at eye level - without any inhibitions, but with lasting success. That's exactly why we'll be taking part again in 2025," explains Managing Director Roland Pasedag. The company has already been able to recruit an apprentice and an engineer for software development through the festival. ROIF offers an innovative format that goes far beyond traditional recruiting. It promotes regional networking, strengthens the visibility of local industry and contributes to the sustainable development of Rodgau as a business location. On both days, performances by the bands Pfund (Friday) and Dr Blond (Saturday) will round off the festival from 7 pm. Admission is free.
