On Sunday, 15 March, Rodgau residents will have the opportunity to help determine the composition of the municipal council as part of the local elections. After the deadline for submitting election proposals expired on Monday, 5 January, the election committee met on Friday, 16 January and approved 10 parties and voter groups:
- List 1 CDU - Christian Democratic Union of Germany
- List 2 AFD - Alternative for Germany
- List 3 SPD - Social Democratic Party of Germany
- List 4 Alliance 90/The Greens, List 5 FDP - Free Democratic Party
- List 6 Freie Wähler Rodgau - Citizens for Rodgau e.V.
- List 7 PARTEI MENSCH UMWELT TIERSCHUTZ - Animal Protection Party
- List 8 The Left
- List 9 BfR - Alliance for Rodgau
- List 10 Volt Germany
A maximum of 45 seats can be allocated for the municipal council. This means that each eligible voter has the same number of votes available for accumulation and panelling. In total, more than 200 people are standing for election. The following lists are authorised for the simultaneous election to the Foreigners' Advisory Council: List 1 IAM - Interessengemeinschaft ausländischer Mitbürger, List 2 AWM - Allianz zum Wohle der Menschheit. Here, 22 people are standing for election with 11 seats to be allocated.
