    • The 1st football team of TSV Dudenhofen, also city champions in 1979, becomes champions of the B-Class Offenbach East and is promoted to the A-Class.

    • Academic celebration of the 55th anniversary of the AGV Volkschor Dudenhofen.
    • TG Nieder-Roden celebrates its 75th anniversary.

    • Wet and cold weather sets a record at the bathing lake.
    • District Youth Fire Brigade Day in Jügesheim.
    • The town's holiday games are very popular, with trips to the Baltic Sea, the North Sea and the Adriatic. Around 500 children take part.

    • The upper secondary school in Rodgau begins operations in a school pavilion at the Georg Büchner School in Jügesheim with year 11. The new upper school in Dudenhofen is opened in 1981.
    • Dudenhofen's former mayor Ludwig Kratz is awarded the Federal Cross of Merit.

    • 10th anniversary celebration of the Gartenstadtschule in Nieder-Roden. TG Weiskirchen inaugurates two new tennis courts. TGS Jügesheim celebrates its 85th anniversary.
    • Germania" cycling club's circuit race with a senior race for the first time.

    • Hermann Gmeiner, founder of the SOS Children's Villages, in Nieder-Roden.
    • Another great Gymnaestrada organised by SG Nieder-Roden with the participation of all gymnastics departments in Rodgau.
    • The 20th trade exhibition in Nieder-Roden was a complete success thanks to the initiative of the Nieder-Roden business community.
