    • The new secondary school in the Dudenhofen district is opened.
    • The district president approves the development plan for the extension of Rodgau-Ring-Straße from the Kreisquerverbindung to Alter Weg in Jügesheim.
      TSV Dudenhofen wins the C and F youth football championships and SV Jügesheim the B youth championships.
    • Giesemer Fastnachtszug (carnival procession) as a foolish funfair with humour and imagination with record participation.
    • Hans Jürgen Haase is the first district champion of the new archery department of SV "Diana" Jügesheim.

    • 92 individual winners and 22 teams are honoured at the town's evening of honour. The title of "Sportsman of the Year", awarded for the first time, goes to Johannes Althapp from Weiskirchen.
    • The Maritima project has finally "burst".
    • Sebastian Hufnagel takes over the chairmanship of Sonntagverein 1876 Nieder-Roden.
    • The new chairman of TGS Jügesheim is Reinhold Kroth.

    • Citizens' hearing of the Frankfurt area association on the Rodgau land-use plan, focussing on the traffic concept,
      Problems with the roof construction of the new community centre in Dudenhofen. At the municipal ski holiday, 47 children relax in Neukirchen, Austria, over Easter.
    • Two chairmen are appointed to head the Weiskirchen Sports Association: Eduard Friedrich and Heinz Sahm.
    • The handball team from Turngemeinde Nieder-Roden becomes champions in the Frankfurt indoor handball district league.

    • The 1982 bathing season opens at the lido in the Nieder-Roden district.
    • On the occasion of the 750th anniversary of the Dutch partner municipality Udenhout, a large delegation from the district of Weiskirchen is in Udenhout.
    • Rodgau-Bank inaugurates its new branch in Hainhausen.

      The "Männerchor" Dudenhofen celebrates its 140th birthday with a big party.
      Günther Twardy succeeds Adam Keller at the helm of Rodgau-IGEMO.
      A cloud of ammonia over the Nieder-Roden district causes a stir.

    • At the invitation of the town, around 2000 pensioners take part in the four pensioners' excursions to Eltville am Rhein.
    • The Bodelschwingh School in the Weiskirchen district celebrates its 10th anniversary.
    • The equestrian elite from all over Hesse take part in a two-day tournament at the "Katharinenhof".
    • The town's children's festival in the Jügesheim forest leisure centre once again offers lots of fun and variety for the little ones.
    • The state election in Rodgau has the following result:
      • CDU 50.7%
      • SPD 37.7%
      • FDP 2.3%.
      • Dirk Czerwek becomes European miniature golf champion.

    • A delegation from the Austrian partner municipality of Hainburg is a guest in Rodgau.
    • It is also the inaugural visit of the new mayor of Hainburg, Hans Ritter.

    • At the citizens' meeting organised by the head of the city council, Willy Purm, the main focus is on traffic problems in Rodgau.
    • Princess Hannelore 1st and Prince Norbert I (H. and N. Gröpl) are proclaimed the Rodgau prince and princess of the 1982/83 campaign.
    • In the Dudenhofen community centre, 65 hobby artists from Rodgau show their works at the town's art exhibition.
    • A delegation from the Dutch partner municipality of Udenhout is staying in Weiskirchen.

    • Jügesheim shops and companies organise the first Christmas market in the town centre.
    • Double success for the Weiskirchen Sports Association: The competitive gymnastics team was promoted to the regional league and the club's gymnastics group won the Hessen championship.
    • The local councils organise Christmas parties for senior citizens in the individual Rodgau districts.
    • A subway under the B45 creates a safe connection between the town centre and the new development area east of the B45 in the Weiskirchen district.
