The 13th Christmas benefit concert by the "Da Capo" choir in aid of the children's home in Cakany/Slovakia took place in St Nicholas' Church in Jügesheim. The children's home can look forward to an impressive €1,400 in donations.
TGS Jügesheim breaks ground for the extension of the Maingau Energie Stadium for an artificial pitch. Once again this year, an ecumenical forest Christmas is held at Gänsbrüh. Numerous animals such as donkeys, sheep and geese delight the children in particular.
The population of Rodgau has decreased slightly compared to 2006 to 45,236 citizens. On the other hand, the number of births rose by ten children to 379, one of whom was born in Rodgau. There were 135 marriage ceremonies and one civil partnership in Rodgau's registry office in the Dudenhofen district.
Sadly, 154 people died, 140 of whom were resident in Rodgau.
