Stadtwerke Rodgau operates 4,499 street lights to ensure road safety on streets, pavements and public squares in the dark.

Tasks in public traffic areas

Planning: 

• Street lighting as part of new developments
• Extension of street lighting as part of optimisation measures

Maintenance: 

• Maintenance and servicing of existing street lights
• Mast inspection and, if necessary, replacement of defective masts

Sustainability 

The demands placed on street lighting have changed. The focus is on cost pressure, energy efficiency and environmental awareness. As a regenerative and locally active municipal utility, we rely on effective lighting technology to save energy and therefore also CO2.

Efficiency

Since 2006, old lights have gradually been replaced with modern and energy-efficient LED lights.
