Plant explorers on the road

The Family Centre is offering a herbal experience workshop for children on Saturday, 5 May, from 3.30 to 4.30 pm. In this workshop, children will experience herbs with all their senses. They learn what ribwort plantain smells and tastes like or what the leaves of coltsfoot feel like. The young herb apprentices even take a look into the past and find out which plants existed at the time of the dinosaurs. The participants go on a discovery tour through nature's herb garden. They not only collect various plants, but also process them into tasty and surprising snacks such as nettle crisps and herbal salt. They will also make something to take home with them. Registration should be completed via the online process on the Rodgau city website www.rodgau.de by 30 April. Participation in the workshop is free of charge.
