The Singbus of the German Choral Youth will be stopping off in Rodgau on 8 May. On this day, a mobile stage for music, encounters and hands-on activities will be set up on the forecourt of the community centre in Dudenhofen ("Dalles"). The morning is reserved for school classes and children's groups, while in the afternoon there will be a colourful, public and free stage programme from 13:00 to 17:00. The town of Rodgau is currently looking for participants for the afternoon programme. We are looking for contributions from all musical areas - whether choirs, bands, music clubs, school ensembles, instrumental groups or individual artists. Important: The performances are free of charge. The focus is on the shared enjoyment of music and the opportunity to present themselves to a wide audience on the Singbus stage. "Our main aim with the Singbus is to get children and adults alike interested in singing and making music," says Jennifer Jäger from the Agency for Economic Development & City Marketing. "At the same time, it's a great opportunity for clubs and groups to showcase themselves and get new people interested in music." There will also be plenty to eat and drink: the Dudenhöfer Landfrauen will be selling homemade cakes and fresh, home-made waffles on site. The ice-cream dealers will also come to the square with a small ice-cream van and offer delicious ice-cream. In addition to stage performances, there is also the opportunity to present yourself with a free stand on site, for example with information material or about the work of the association. It is also possible to display flyers. Interested groups, clubs or individuals can register by 30 April at the latest, either by e-mail to punkten@rodgau.de or by telephone on 06106-6931216.
