Specialist area Environment

The Environmentdepartment is responsible for safeguarding the environmental media of soil and air, in particular the recording and evaluation of contaminated sites, contaminated sites, the forwarding of complaints about odour, noise and smoke nuisance and the current topics of climate protection and renewable energies.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Preparation of statements on environmentally relevant local projects (e.g. development plans) or supra-regional projects (noise action plans, regional land use plans, etc.)
• Preparation of the environmental report of the city of Rodgau on the various environmental topics and an overview of current activities such as information on the climate protection concept, noise action planning, noise reduction planning in the road and rail sectors and aircraft noise
• Environmental counselling as a public service
• Answering enquiries on a wide range of environmentally relevant topics
• Arranging and organising energy consultations
