Service description
You need a library card to use a municipal library, bookshop or archive library. You must apply for this.
Procedure
- You will receive a library card after prior registration
- Submit the application documents to the library
- Pay the user fee
- You will then receive your library card immediately on site or by post within a few days

Remarks
- A fee reduction may be granted for certain groups of people. These include, in particular, minors, recipients of state transfer payments, public organisations and legal entities.
- In addition to the fees for issuing a library card, fees may be charged for lending, interlibrary loans, use of databases and electronic journals or access to archive material.
- If the validity of your library card has expired, you can have it extended.
