Waste: Waste paper
Service description
Recovered paper is a valuable raw material. Paper products made from waste paper (recycled paper, cardboard and cartons) have a significantly lower environmental impact than paper products made from virgin fibres. Recycled paper is therefore also awarded the Blue Angel eco-label.
The disposal of paper waste from private households is the responsibility of the public waste disposal authorities. Waste paper collections can also be carried out by commercial or non-profit providers (commercial or non-profit collection).
Procedure
The disposal of paper waste is regulated in the individual statutes of the public waste disposal organisations. This also includes information on existing collection systems for paper waste (e.g. drop-off options at recycling centres, container services).
What fees are incurred?
Information on the costs can be found in the respective waste fee statutes of your public waste disposal organisation.
