  • Service description

    You can have the blocked electronic proof of identity or the blocked online ID function unblocked again. This can only be done in person at the identity card authority or citizens' office. It is not possible to unblock by telephone.

    The unblocking of the ID card can be accepted by both the issuing authority and the identity card authority responsible for your place of residence. The ID card holder must be clearly identified there. As only the issuing authority maintains the ID card register and can unblock the card, it must be informed by the competent authority.
