  • Service description

    If you are moving to an inland waterway vessel that is registered for a domestic shipping register, you must register.

    If you are travelling on a seagoing vessel that is authorised to fly the German flag, the shipowner will register you. To do this, you must provide the shipowner with the necessary information.

    The obligation to register does not apply in either case if you are registered for a residence in Germany.
