Children's & Youth Parliament
Election 2026
New elections to the Children and Young People’s Parliament will take place from 23 to 30 August 2026. Since Monday 15 June, children and young people who meet the criteria set out below have been able to apply online via “Apply as a candidate" and stand for election.
Eligibility to stand for election and the right to vote
- On the cut-off date, 30 August, candidates and eligible voters must be at least 12 years old and no older than 17
- Resident in Rodgau
All candidates will be presented on the page below as soon as applications are received.

General
The children's and youth parliament is elected every two years by the children and young people in Rodgau. It represents the interests of children and young people in the town of Rodgau. This includes maintaining and improving the connection and understanding between children and young people and the town of Rodgau.
Tasks & rights
The children's and youth parliament represents the interests of children and young people in the town of Rodgau.
Its tasks and rights include
- Advising political organisations on all matters concerning children and young people
- The opportunity to submit your own proposals to the city council in order to represent the interests of children and young people in city politics
The members of the children's and youth parliament meet every fortnight to
- official meetings before and after
- realise own projects
The official meetings usually take place four times a year in the meeting room of the City Council.

Candidature application
Since 15 June, anyone who lives in Rodgau and is at least 12 years old or no older than 17 on the cut-off date of 30 August can apply via the online process.
