Recycling centre
The recycling centre offers the citizens of Rodgau the opportunity to dispose of recyclable materials free of charge. It is operated in order to recover recyclable materials from the waste volumes by type and return them to the recyclable material cycles. In some cases, this generates revenue (e.g. from scrap metal), which is used for the fee budget and thus ensures lower fees.

Which recyclables can be handed in?
- Waste glass / flat glass
- Glass blocks (max. 15 pieces)
- Waste paper and cardboard (max. 0.25 m³ per week)
- Non-ferrous and ferrous metals, aluminium (also larger parts)
- Batteries & rechargeable batteries (car batteries max. 1 piece, no deposit return)
- Building rubble (untreated/ max. 100 litres per week/ no plasterboard/ Fermacell boards, Ytong bricks)
- Electronic waste (small appliances and parts)
- Large household appliances and refrigerators
- Televisions and computer monitors
- Foils (not contaminated)
- CDs (without cover, no records or cassettes of any kind)
- Energy-saving lamps and fluorescent tubes
- Mobile phones
- Cables
- Cork
- Packaging materials from the Dual System (Der Grüne Punkt)
- Packaging polystyrene (white/ not contaminated)
- Empty toner cartridges
- Plastic products (only buckets, tubs, household tubs, bowls, folding baskets, garden furniture, watering cans, rain barrels)
- Nappies (in sealed bags)
- Wood (uncontaminated and dismantled furniture interior wood) - no wooden objects from outdoor areas (e.g. garden furniture, hunting fences, decking boards, doors and window frames, roof beams and construction timber)
Under what conditions may deliveries be made?
- Only the specified recyclables are accepted in normal household quantities
- The authorisation certificate or an identity card must be kept ready for delivery
- The recycling centre may only be used by Rodgau citizens
- The recyclables delivered must be pre-sorted according to fractions (types)
- For insurance reasons, the operating personnel may not assist in unloading the recyclables
- Please follow the instructions of the recycling centre staff
